FAQ - General

All of our 4 practices have downstairs surgeries accessible for wheelchair users and for anyone who has trouble getting up the stairs. If you cannot get up the stairs, please let the receptionist know when you book your appointment so we can accommodate you as best as we can.

Currently, we do not offer NHS online bookings. We offer online bookings for private emergency appointments. Click here to book. For any other appointments, please call one of the practices.

You should have a check-up every 6 months unless otherwise advised by your dentist.

Yes, you can be both an NHS and a private patient at our practice.

We are not open on Saturdays for NHS treatment. Our Saffron Lane practice is open privately on Saturdays.

You do not need to remove all of your facial piercings before your appointment. If piercings in your mouth are in our way when treatment needs to be done, we will ask you to remove your piercings.

Please reschedule your appointment to keep yourself, other patients and our staff safe and healthy.

You are welcome to bring one friend or a family \member to an appointment with you. Please be mindful of the fact our surgeries have limited space and the clinical staff needs to be able to move around during treatment.

If you would rather see a male/female dentist, please let the receptionist know so we can make sure you are as comfortable as possible during your visit.

If you have had treatment such as crowns, bridges, and/or implants done abroad, this can limit what treatment we can offer you under the NHS and privately. Please make your dentist aware of the treatment you have had abroad at the start of your appointment.
FAQ - Children

We recommend bringing your child in once they get their first tooth. It is important to start early so your child learns that the dental office is a safe environment and there is nothing to be scared of.

Children under the age of 16 should not attend without a guardian.

We offer after-school appointment, but these appointments are booked up very quickly, so we do recommend booking your after-school appointments at least a month in advance.

Every 6 months, unless otherwise told by your dentist.

Treatment for children under the NHS is fully free of charge.
FAQ - Hygienist

Only our Saffron Lane practice has hygienists on site, but patients from all of our practices can come and attend hygienist appointments at Saffron Lane. To book an appointment with the hygienist, please ring the Saffron Lane practice.
Our hygienists are available Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

The hygienist is not covered by the NHS as it is private treatment.

Exemptions do not cover hygienist appointments as it is private treatment.

Standard hygienist appointments last 20-30 minutes. If more extensive work is needed, the appointments can take slightly longer.

You are more than welcome to request to be numbed up during your hygienist treatment.

Some of our hygienists do offer white fillings privately.
